The ENO Twilight Camp Lights are one of those items that quickly earned a permanent spot in my kit.
From the start, the build quality stands out. The flexible string of lights packs down easily, and at just a few ounces, it’s practically unnoticeable in my dry bag or backpack. But when night falls, these lights shine—literally. The warm LED glow is perfect for illuminating the inside of a tent or hammock without being harsh on the eyes. Whether I’m cooking dinner riverside or rigging gear for an early morning portage, the Twilights give me enough visibility without killing the vibe.
The 4 ounce 10 foot string of 23 ultra-bright LED lights are powered by 3 AAA batteries. The battery life is solid, averaging about 72 hours. I’ve had them run for multiple nights without needing a change, which is a major plus when resupply isn’t an option. The included plastic mini carabiner clip system makes setup fast and versatile—tree branches, kayak deck lines, tent poles—you name it. This is also ideal for hurricane preparedness for when power goes out for several days.
Setup: I place one end in a tarp tie down loop and stretch it under the tarp at an angle to another tie down loop. Alternatively, wrapping the strand of lights around a cord or draping it in a hammock or tent is equally easy and festive.
Light: I purchased the Blue and Green light strand and have found that the light is a soft ambient light just bright enough to be ok for reading a book and comes close to mimicking the full moon light.
