Editorial chronology note (October 2026): Jeff Fabiszewski confirms that this expedition with Sean Fitzgibbon ran from December 27, 2009 through January 1, 2010, with six days of paddling. An archived itinerary linked below retains its original January 2, 2010 end-date wording for historical reference; that date does not reflect Jeff’s confirmed completion date. This trip was distinct from Jeff’s May 7–13, 2006 Suwannee River trip with Troop 404 and a February 2011 canoe outing with fellow coaches after the Sweetwater Kayaks Symposium and canoe training with Nigel Foster.
The Suwannee River is a 246 mile long black water river beginning in southern Georgia and flowing through northern Florida ending in the Gulf of Mexico. From December 27, 2009 through January 1, 2010, Sean and I enjoyed six days paddling 100 miles of the Suwannee River in Nth. Florida. These are the following links to the Suwannee River Expedition.
