On Saturday, October 25, 2008, my kayaking friends and I participated in the Suncoast Triathlon at Ft Desoto Park. It was a great race. And we had the best vantage point to watch the 660 meter (0.33 mile) swim. We volunteered as kayak support to the swimmers. Dary of Bill Jackson’s organized the kayak volunteers. If you ever get a chance to help with a Triathlon do it.

You forgot to mention meeting afterwards at the campground for breakfast and social hour. This one had some rough weather with it, which also made for some fun surfing afterwards as long as you counted the waves and caught the right one in. And the right one out as well.
